By Air: The nearest Airbase to Hampi is at Bellari, (60 km) and the nearest international Airport to Hampi is at Bangalore, located 350 km from the main town. Cabs are available from both these airports and charge around Rs.1200 and Rs.6000 to reach the main city from the Bellari and Bangalore Airport respectively. The Bangalore International Airport is well connected to most of the major cities of India as well as abroad.

By Rail: The nearest Railhead to Hampi is at Hospet, located about 13 km from the site. Cabs are readily available to reach Hampi from Hospet. Regular trains ply to and from Hospet for Bangalore, Hyderabad and the other important cities of Karnataka and the neighboring states.

By Road: Hampi can easily be accessed from all the major cities of Karnataka as well as the Neighboring states by the KSRTC Buses that ply frequently and regularly. Privately operated Bus services are also available from towns like Gokarna in Goa to Hampi

By Bike: Though bikes can be hired on rent in Hampi, the rides in the bikes up and down the hill with the sun beating down could be a tedious experience. By Boat: Most of the ooptions of accommodation are located on the other side of the river, commonly referred to as Virupaper Gadde. They can only be accessed by crossing the river in motor boats.
